Program Summary

- Up to 20 recipients will receive $5,000 awards, annually.
- Open to dependents of employees at Fortive or Fortive-owned companies worldwide, provided the employee or employees are active, in good standing.
- Applicants must be high-school seniors or students already enrolled in full-time study at an accredited four-year institution (or international equivalent).
- Awards are based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership and financial need.
- Awards are renewable up to 3 years or until graduation, whichever comes first*.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicants must be dependent** children of full-time Fortive Corporation employees who are active employees in good standing as of the application deadline date.
- Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited three- or four-year college or university (or international equivalent) or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year.
- Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
- Children of employees may not be recipients of other scholarships funded by the Fortive Corporation or one of its operating businesses.
- Awards are based on academic performance but winners must meet criteria for financial need.
Selection Criteria
The program will use Scholarship America recipient selection criteria including the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside appraisal.
The academic evaluation for international applicants will include a review of the grade/mark-average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and university and results of academic examinations. This information is evaluated to complete the academic ranking of international applicants.
Recipients must demonstrate financial need.
Award Details
The awards will be issued in U.S. currency via check payable to the school for the student’s account or electronic transfer to schools that participate in the electronic transfer process. Awards to students outside the U.S. and Canada will be disbursed via wire transfer to the student’s bank account.
Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale), continued parental employment, and continuation of the program by Fortive.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
* Scholarship winners’ parents or guardians must remain full-time, active Fortive employees in good standing for the renewal.
** Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
